Spotlight: More Orchard Students Earn High School Scholarships

We are very proud to announce that 40 percent of our eighth grade students earned a scholarship to high school this year.

Wyatt - Herron High School
University High School Merit Scholarship

Orchard has prepared me for high school by guiding me to myself. The 8th grade capstone class focuses on self-identity and it has really helped me figure out what I want to do. I am also taking a high level math class and had other opportunities to take high courses, which would have only been possible with the amazing academics and teachers that Orchard provides. At the beginning of seventh and eighth grade, Orchard gave us the wonderful chance to talk to kids from high schools we may be going to, this helped me initially select my new school. Without Orchard, I would not feel as comfortable as I do with moving on to high school."

“Orchard has prepared me, socially, to interact with the community and help others. This is shown by me being able to get a group of people together at Orchard to do the Polar Plunge (a fundraiser to benefit the Special Olympics). Being at Orchard has taught me to give back to the world and nature. We've always had activities that were really involved with nature and we learned a lot from being outdoors."
