We had a WONDERFUL day with our Orchard Owls! We passed out yearbooks, enjoyed treats from Kona Ice, delivered the custom "Class of... Books" to our soon-to-be-grads, made flower adornments and boutonnières, rang the bell to close the school year, and rehearsed a beautiful Spring Pageant performance. Speaking of pageant, parents check for an email titled "Spring Pageant Rehearsal Photos and Video" to download photos from today.

We also had a chance to say thank you as a whole school to our beloved Regina Thomas. Regina will be retiring from Orchard after 21 years of welcoming students to Kids Connect every morning and feeding them nutritious meals at lunchtime.

Enjoy the photos.

    • Yearbooks! Shout out to eighth grader Karmen for drawing this year’s cover.

    • KONA ICE TRUCK FOR THE WIN!

    • The Custom Class of Book returns! For the second year in a row, eighth graders received a 100+ page custom portrait book. The hardcover book shows the growth of each student with a portrait from their first month of eighth grade next to their last month, as well as a handful of Orchard memories. We hope this keepsake will remind them of where their journey started. #owlsforever

    • Thanks to the Alumni Heritage Association (AHA) and the Parents’ Association (PA) for supporting the special gift. Members of both organizations attended, including a speech from AHA President Max Eiteljorg ’05.

    • Eighth grade parents organized a flower adornment and boutonnière ceremony for our grads-to-be. Students can wear these during graduation.

    • For the second year in a row the Odell family won the auction item, “Ring the Bell with HOS Sherri Helvie on the Last Day of School!”
