Watch this short documentary from the experts, aka Orchard first-grade students, about the process of converting sap to maple syrup.

In late February, our new friends from Journey Indiana road-tripped to our campus to discover the distinctive history and tradition of tapping trees at Orchard.

Each week hosts Ashley Dillard and Brandon Wentz from Journey Indiana travel to new destinations to learn what makes those communities special. And we were thrilled to welcome them to our sugar bush!

Great documentary to show how learning, socializing and growing happens at Orchard. I believe that making maple syrup is great for the kids academically, socially and at a personal level. The idea of learning by doing speaks to all kids and makes them feel part of something important; in this case, part of an almost centenary tradition. My respect and appreciation for all teachers, personnel, families and great students at Orchard. Wish I could enjoy pancakes/waffles with the special Orchard Syrup . Keep up the excellence in all your endeavors!
