2nd Grade Ropes Course | Hands-On Learning

This only at Orchard moment is a prime example of hands-on experiential learning. Second graders are studying the layers of the forest in science, so naturally we take them 35ft in the air to explore this matter firsthand. Students worked together and pulled each other from the forest floor to the understory, and up to the canopy. Great teamwork, friends! When students returned to the classroom they reflected on their unique experience by creating drawings and journaling—in addition to scientific discoveries.
