  • PARENTS' ASSOCIATION AUCTION (21+): FEB. 11

SEE PICTURES FROM THE CENTENNIAL AUCTION

What a night! A giant thank you to everyone who supported the auction – either online, in person, or both - this past weekend. We raised more than $115,000 for The Orchard School!

We are grateful for the generous sponsorships provided by Ambre Blends and Eight Eleven Group.

We are also thankful for the in-kind donations provided by Elijah Craig BourbonMallow Run Winery, and Nothing Bundt Cakes.

There are so many people without whom this event would not have been possible. A special thanks to the Orchard Development and Marketing Departments for their partnership in bringing our vision to life. Taylor Ogden, Vanessa Bertoni-McElroy, Amanda Goedde, Sheena Xiao, and James Layne…you’re all amazing.

A huge thank you to the Orchard teachers who attended the event, provided GEMs, and made space for grade-level art projects in their classrooms.

Our grade-level art items would not have been possible without the organizational skills of Heather Tosh…. she also gets a huge shout-out for single-handedly getting the eighth-grade art project finished!

Thank you to all of the parents who helped us procure, log, transport, and generally organize auction items.

Behind every auction, there is a village of primary volunteers whose enthusiasm and time make the event come to life.

Special thanks to Lisa Hancock for being a cheerleader, proofreader, and jack of all trades.

Liv Martin, thank you for the countless design hours and your vision for this event. It was flawless!

And last, but certainly not least, we are indebted to Jenny Weiser and Tiffany Turner for pouring their whole selves into this event. You are both amazing examples of the Orchard spirit - together we can achieve anything.

    Cheers to 100 more years!

  • 100 TREES WITH KIB INC: APRIL 29

As part of our Centennial year, Orchard will be giving back to the broader Indianapolis community on Saturday, April 29th by planting 100+ trees at James Foster Gaines Park with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful. We will save one of the trees (a sugar maple) to be planted on Orchard's campus next to the Sugar Shack. This Commemorative Centennial Tree will allow future generations to continue Orchard's tradition of turning sap to syrup in science class.

Any donor who gives $100 OR MORE from now until May 5th will have their name included on the Commemorative Centennial Tree plaque on campus.

  • PRIDE PARADE: JUNE 10

The Orchard School has been accepted to walk in the "Indy Pride Festival: Pride Parade" this year on Saturday, June 10th, from 10 am to 12 pm. The parade is in downtown Indianapolis (route below). We would love to have as many adults and children as possible there with us as we close out our Centennial Year...all are welcome.

Indy Pride Festival anticipates that close to 50,000 people will attend this year's festivities, so as we get closer to the parade, this will help us gauge how many Owls might join us, coordinate timing, a meeting location, and other things pertaining to Orchard's presence at Indy Pride Festival. ?? ???‍??

You don't not have to pay to walk in the "Indy Pride Festival: Pride Parade" with Orchard. We've been informed that people under our organization, walking in our group, will be considered part of Orchard's registration. Please note: if you would like to participate in Indy Pride Festival as a whole, tickets go on sale in early April. Visit indypride.org for more info.
