On behalf of the Search Committee, I wanted to update the Orchard Community with the latest news regarding the search for our next Head of School. 

 

This past weekend, the Search Committee met with eight semi-finalists for a 90-minute interview and a tour of the facility. These individuals embodied the experiences, attributes and backgrounds expressed in the Opportunity Statement. The discussions were rich and demonstrated the candidates' skills, as well as their passion for progressive education.

 

At the end of the weekend, the Search Committee selected three candidates to be finalists. We are very excited for the Orchard community to meet these individuals. We will be bringing each of them to campus for a two-day visit, to be held the following dates:

 

1) Tuesday, November 28 – Wednesday, November 29th

 

2) Thursday, November 30 – Friday, December 1st

 

3) Monday, December 4 – Tuesday, December 5th

 

While the committee is finalizing the itinerary for these visits, we ask parents to hold the following times / dates to attend parent forums with all candidates:

 

*Wednesday, November 29th 8:15am

 

*Friday, December 1st 8:15am (Note: The Orchard History assembly is scheduled for that morning and any parents who chose to attend the assembly are invited to join the forum after the performance)

 

*Tuesday, December 5th 8:15am

 

We strongly encourage that every family be represented at the forums with each candidate--perhaps splitting attendance amongst parents / guardians, etc.  As a reminder, there will be an online survey to capture your comments regarding each candidate
