The Woods We Love Episode 2: Preserving

Episode 2 takes us back into the Orchard Woods with Zach Day to explore something small that has a big impact on our rare remnant forest. Even in the late fall and quiet of winter, green leaves and bright berries reveal the presence of invasive plants that do not belong here and slowly push out the native life that makes these woods so special.

This is the hands-on work our Eco Owls take on alongside Mrs. P as they care for and protect this unique ecosystem right here on campus. It is steady, meaningful work, and it is something our whole community can be part of. From choosing native plants at home to joining volunteer removal weekends in the woods, every action helps preserve the place our students explore, learn from, and love.

Watch Episode 2 and see how we continue caring for the Woods We Love.
