The Orchard Core: BOOK FAIR IN THE LIBRARY

Written by Sofie (8th grade) and Marth-Claire (8th grade)

This week we interviewed The Orchard School's librarian Ms. Angie Roberts about the upcoming book fair that will take place from 9 AM to 3 PM during Grandparents’ & Special Friends’ Week, which is the 24th through the 28th.

Reminder: Grandparents’ & Special Friends Days are the 24th(EC), 26th (ES), and 28th (MS) from 9 AM to 11 AM.

In the interview, Ms. Roberts told us that Kids Ink, a local bookstore, supplies all of the books and twenty percent of the sales will go to expanding the Orchard library! The goal is to expand the book collection in our library and to supply mostly summer reading recommendations. There will also be an opportunity for people to support our library by purchasing “classic” books to update Orchard’s copies.

A little more about Ms. Roberts…She previously worked at the International School of Indiana as an interpreter for deaf students. She decided to come to The Orchard School to be a librarian because she likes to be surrounded by books and enjoys helping kids find books they like.
