It sure was quiet on the north side of the building last week. But we know middle schoolers were off enjoying their class trips! Eighth graders were in Washington DC, seventh graders were at Camp Joy in Ohio, sixth graders were in St. Louis, and fifth graders were at Mammoth Cave in Kentucky!
The trips not only have strong curricular connections but offer a chance for students to exercise responsibility, self-control, and independence while growing closer with one another.

5th Grade Trip to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky: -Staying at Camp Loucon -Late-night bonfires -Throwing atlatls
6th Grade Trip to St. Louis, Missouri: -City Museum -Arch -Riverboat ride with historical info -Zoo -Science Center discoveries -Dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory
7th Grade Trip to Camp Joy in Ohio: -Cincinnati Reds game -Finding fossils at Caesar Creek State Park -Ziplining -Holding birds and turtles
8th Grade Trip to Washington, DC: -Ghost tours -Ferris Wheel -African American Museum -Dinner at the Hard Rock -Spy Museum -Changing of the flags at Fort McHenry -Mount Vernon Plantation -Washington Monument
