A Year In, Orchard Excited About a Healthy Future

Dear Orchard Friends and Families,

A year ago today we made the proactive decision to pivot to Remote Learning when it was clear that COVID-19 was going to have an impact on our Indianapolis community.  At the time we thought we’d be returning to campus following spring break, but the weeks unfolded very differently as we navigated the effects of the pandemic on our school, work, and everyday lives.  I couldn’t be more proud of the compassion, creativity, and sense of community that we have all brought to the challenges of the last year.

Today, one year later, I am grateful for the resilience and joy of our students, faculty, staff, and families, and cheered by these tangible milestones of our progress and way forward:  I hope the photos below bring you the same hope and optimism that they have brought me.

Thank you for the love, connection, and learning that you have shared with us over the last year, and for partnering with us in this journey.

Sherri C. Helvie, Ph.D.
Head of School
