Photo Album: Black Panther Day at Orchard, Honoring Chadwick Boseman

To honor the late Chadwick Boseman, the actor best known as the "Black Panther" Marvel superhero, The Orchard School held a BLACK PANTHER DAY on Friday, September 4th. Students, teachers and families wore items featuring Black Panther, Avengers, or colors that represent Black Panther to them (black, purple, etc.) as a way to pay tribute.

Mr. Boseman's passing last Friday is significant because he represented for many that "Black kids can be heroes, too." As one child and his family interviewed in St. Louis described, "Our son loves comics and superheroes. But for him to see one that looked like him or his father, as far as a Black man that's saving the world, that meant a lot."

Students in every grade across the school showed their support!
