Photo Album: Orchard’s End-of-the-Year Car Parade

Still missing the Indy 500? We’ve got you covered!

Last week The Orchard School took inspiration from the big race as families were invited to cruise in an Orchard Car Parade on our “track” around the bell tower.

More than 300 Orchard families came to the end-of-the-year celebration! Their cars were decked out in green and gold decorations, while signs displayed messages of love for teachers and the school we all miss so much.

Side note: We staggered times for teachers from specific grades to spread out six feet apart around the "track" as they waved to their students.

Shoutout to Head of School Sherri Helvie for thinking of a safe and fun way to provide closure for our students, families, and teachers. We had a challenging end of the year, but our community stuck together and made it meaningful.

It might feel odd for a little while, but keep the vision of Orchard in your mind. Don’t lose it! There will be a time when we put our arms around each other again and sing, “To Orchard school our hearts are true...”

Have a wonderful summer. Owls forever!
