The Orchard School’s Remote Learning Plan Begins on March 16

Teachers at The Orchard School have spent the last two days refining and expanding remote learning plans that align with Orchard’s mission to develop and educate the whole child. Through virtual platforms, teachers are working hard to maintain a learning journey that’s joyful and interactive.

Remote learning and social distancing aren’t concepts that feel synonymous with an Orchard education. For nearly a century, Orchard has thrived as a premier private school where hands-on experiential learning opportunities are boundless. And our teachers enjoy learning and leading alongside their students.

So, yes, our model will look different during these times, but our ability to adapt and learn will not. Our faculty and staff are finding ways to apply the “Orchard way” to remote learning. The opportunity to innovate while supporting the greater good will provide positive learning moments for everyone during this new chapter.

Thank you for the outpouring of support after Wednesday’s decision to close Orchard in hopes of making a positive impact on public health in Indianapolis. Orchard community, we appreciate the support, flexibility, and patience as we work to provide for our students in the days and weeks ahead.
