Photo Album: Orchard Students Go Hands-On During International Food Waste Day

April 24th is International Food Waste Day! To celebrate, second graders designed t-shirts showcasing their commitment to zero food waste. They also tried to have as close to a zero food waste lunch as possible. Second grade closed out the day by working with their seventh grade Special Friends to teach them about food waste while engaging in some hands-on learning. What a great way to incorporate math, technology, community, art, and social and emotional learning.
